Cannot connect to pc
 

I changed the setting on the phone to promp when connecting to usb and I get not connection on my pc. I have reset the phone, erased SD, unmounted, remounted and still no connection. The phone charges but I cannot access the phone's files. Any suggestions?

had something similar happen to me the other day. ended up uninstalling sync and reinstalling the sync that came on the card. would stay connected after that. then I redownloaded the current sync from the htc site.

"but Drac, why didn't you just redownload sync in the first place?"

Try using a different usb cable. I had a similiar problem and swapped the cable and it worked after.

I'm having the same problem. Have yet to find a solution. Most threads with similar problems deal with rooted phones which mine isn't. Worked great till a couple weeks ago.

well, bought a new usb cable, reinstalled sync from sd card and nothing seems to work. phone will only charge. toggled usb debugging as well. I'm at a loss.

Download the newest version of Sync...install that and try your new cord with the phone. The Sync from the SD Card is from launch...since then it's been updated a few times...

Worst case take it into Sprint (Repair Center) and have them try to get it to connect to there PC's. If it doesn't take there...they will get you a new phone.

Other than trying it bone fresh from a hard reset, which you've probably already done...It seems your phone may have some sort of issue. I would recommend taking it to a Sprint Repair Center and having them take a look at it. Last resort is they will order you a replacement. Sorry I couldn't help.
