I just did ##786# and reset without doing unrevoked and it worked first try.

Edit:
I cancelled when it was checking for firmware update because I didn't want to take a chance of losing root. I nand restored to stock 2.1 when I did the ##786#

Thanks, still no go for me. Just noticed when I try to wipe SD partition, it errors out. Says I need to use adb to wipe this. Not sure if this would cause the pri to not update, doubt it though. Oh well, will keep trying. Thks.

here's what I did...

do a Nanddroid backup, then boot android
##786# MSL
reboot into recovery
wiped everything only once though
rebooted
let it do hands free activation
skipped google login info looked at about phone

What kernal were you on?

I've been doing this a few times now, Im running the same kernal but I'm on damage 2.2 but that doesnt matter. I read on XDA that maybe you need a stock kernal but you disproved that.

Guess I'll keep trying

worked great first try here. thanks on custom kernel... I only wipe data, cache,dalvik-cache and battery.
