I want to go 2.2 rooted stock. So, my real question is... Do i upgrade to 2.2 via phone then use unrevoked for rooted 2.2 or what should i do ? Please help me out here thank you in advance.

update to 2.2 ota then use unrevoked 3.21 to root would be my suggestion.

I have run unrevoked 3.2.1 following the instructions and videos, everything looks as if it worked perfectly but when I try to run Titanium Backup it tells me I don't have root permissions. This is my first root attempt so I am uncertain if this is just something specific to Titanium or if unrevoked failed somewhere in the process. I never saw any message that would indicate that it did. I am currently on the lastest OTA.

I got the same message too. Click on the help button on the right once you open titanium. Then you should be able to download and update the files for "busybox". It should work after that. If it doesn't then check your applications and see if you have the little ninja guy that let's you know if your rooted. Let us know if that works.

Could you be more specific? I've been poking around but haven't found a little ninja guy. :-)

well most cyanogen roms have all that bloatware(sprint b.s) apps already remove! you must try out the cm6_supersonic-09212010,, and flash Mangus's update over that nightly! its called cm-b2 aka Blue Bea$t. I am using a snapv7 kernal that i flashed after the rom. ITS REALLY GOOD,, IM IN THE PROCESS OF PUSHING SOME NEW theme's to flash over the rom for added feature and colur

Ok so I downloaded the unrevoked for mac (because I have a mac) from this website… unrevoked3 recovery reflash tool, v3.21... I ran the dmg file and it says plug my phone in, set the debugging box and then I'm off and running…

Here is the question, by doing this, will it completely root my phone? And then will I be able to flash roms, customize, etc.??? Sorry for the questions I'm really really new to this…

I am on a stock 2.2 with the new ota update..
