Re: Updated to froyo 2.2 How can I move my apps to sd card

It depends on if the developer weather or not they allow you to move the app to the SD card...I'm guessing since 2.1 didn't have that feature....those apps that havn't been updated to 2.2 won't work...but If they were...then in that applications menu it will allow you to move it. This is what I've been told from others.

That is basically correct. The application has to be written for this to be done. I was able to move 5 applications to the card.

Be careful what apps you move cause say you hook the phone to the computer as a disk drive you lose use of that app. I learned this the hard way losing my keyboards lol. I couldnt get them back till I rebooted teh phone which probably just needed to remount the sd card properly to the system.

Awesome thanx for the info it works on some apps but not others. But since its a new feature of 2.2 I'm sure a lot more apps in the market place will be updated to sd card move functionality.

You can also to go to Menu-->Settings-->Applications-->Manage and when you select an application there is a Move to SD button. If it's enabled then the application can be moved.

No real reason to download another application to do this.

I use Titanium Backup's Move to SD option, since I already have it.
