EVO 4G Stuck on Scanning

Ive tried everything. Flashing back to stock, OMJ, and new Froyo. 4G is stuck on scanning, never connects. Ive renamed the xml file for WiMax, that worked for about 1hr then it stopped. Hope someone can help.

what did you do prior to this happening?flash back to most recent recovery/backup?

last night mine did this when i tried to put 'new radio/wimax' over 1.47 android 2.1.

had to flash back to my recent recovery and all was fixed again. i wanted to see if the new radio and wimax would speed up my 4g as it was doing on froyo 2.2 w/ the new radios/wimax. it didnt and i think broke 4g.

When this started happening, I was on 2.1 rooted. This is when I started trying other roms suspecting it was the original rooted rom I had. Having had problems for about a week now.

arent you making backups before flashing roms like crazy?

if your on 1.47, you could try to just flash the wimax from recovery screen (flash zip from sd card)

I was able to put it back to stock and 4g works. I now created a back up just in case. Why wouldn't 4g work with the new Froyo?

make sure you wipe data/factory reset, clear cache and wipe davik cache.. then flash rom and reset.

let us know how it turns out. I am having the same issue with OMJs 2.2

I may try to load up the referenced netarchy rom, but I hardly use 4G, so I may just hold off until we get a rooted build of the upcoming final OTA 2.2 release.
