Was updating to 2.2 worth it?

I am currently updated manually and lost my root and cant unroot..I knew what i was doing and i did it anyway after being fully rooted with omj rom. But I have a question for everybody out there. Im getting some weird stuff happen to my phone. Did i lose resistive screen? everything that touches it its applied too. I use swype for typing but it also at times bugs out. It just seems unstable at various of times not all the time...anyone confirm? Thanks

humm well i kinda get the same thing as in most of the time its pretty snappy but sometimes when im typing on the keyboard it lags on inputting the text sometimes and i get a random landscape sometimes when i exit text anything like that

I'm rooted with the prerelease froyo. Estrongs file manager doesn't scroll correctly and a few other problems, but this is the happiest I've been with this phone. If only better battery life...

I can confirm slight keyboard lag and random landscape mode wen typin sumtimes ...fully rooted Omj 2.2 deodex'd

Edit: G-sensor calibration solved the landscape mode issue.

I cant believe the work that all these guys are putting into this. There are like 15 roms out with 2.2. They are banging them out like hotcakes

i keyboard blacks out and stops responding and i have to press the power button to put it to sleep and press it again to wake it up so it can snap out of it and it works...but thats terrible i didnt have to do that in android 2.1 they need fixes fast.

I was experiencing that on 2.1 every now an then, but it has yet to happen to me on 2.2

froyos a joke. not sure what google was thinking its like putting a kia engine in a ferrarri.

2.1 is better and 2,2 should have been skipped over

im beginning to agree with you, im probly gonna nand restore soon cus i feel like i upgraded for no real reason

nope, went back to OMJ 2.1
