Phone doesnt recognize charger

My Phone is not recognizing my chargers. Any of them. I tried the stock charger, a motorola charger from an old bluetooth I had, a car charger and I tried via usb cable on the computer. The PC doesn't even recognize the phone when I connect it. The phone doesn't light up at all.

I'm not sure when it started, I updated to the .3 Froyo on 7/30 but I'm pretty sure it was working after that. Anyone else having this issue before I do a hard reset?

Try cleaning the power port with the phone off. Use rubbing alcohol as it will dissolve totally and a q tip and a brush. Make sure you are using the stock cord and charger. Also try to charge with the phone off. Their should be an orange light.

Check your water marks...just to be safe. You could have a bummed charger port from what your telling us...or it may just be dirty. Try a hard reset...and if that doesn't help then take it into Sprint Repair Center and have them take a look at it...but you have to have the $7 insurance for them to even touch it...Good luck!

I'm going to suggest something very silly. have you tried jiggling the charger once plugged in to the device?

For whatever reason I have found that the cables don't always seem to connect as expected.

FYI - IF you have a first batch EvO they had issues with the charger port my boy just had his exchanged 2 days ago for that issue so I would restore to factory and bring it to a store. He got his EVO day 1

Is this an anecdotal or factual observation. I got mine on the first day and I've never had an issue charging my device. I couldn't use an aftermarket cable, but as long as I use an "approved" cable, I can charge no problems.

I got mine on launch day as well. I've tried the stock charger as well as aftermarket chargers and I have jiggle the crap out of the cord as well. At time it lights up like its gonna work then it craps out. Seems like the port is shorted out or something.

I don't have any water damage. I'm not sure if i wanna do the alcohol thing tho. I'm gonna hard reset and see what happens. If that doesn't work then its off to the repair store.

Well the repair store couldn't fix it so they ordered me a new phone. Too bad they're on backorder. FML.

FYI.. had the same issue.. took it to the store and luckily they had some in stock.. replaced under warranty.. not insurance.
