How to keep 8mp cam with netarchy's kernel
 

1)before flashing netarchys kernel take a few pics make sure cam is set to 8mp check the size of pics.
2) flash netarchy kernel take a few pics and check size should still be the size of 8mp pics.

For those of you already on netarchys kernel and stuck with 3mp you can flash back to htc kernel do the first step then flash back to netarchy.

Whats typical 8MP size? My pics range from 1-3MB. Or do you mean pixels? Most of mine seem to be like 3200 x 1952

edit: yup works. camera is taking pictures in 8MB, even though it says 3MB selected.

1-3 mb would be 8 mb.3mb is around 500kb. 3264x1952 or 1952 x3264 what I'm getting on netarchy kernel which is same as my old pics before flashing kernel.

All of this still works even after rebooting the phone?

Yes it sticks through reboots and all hell I flashed new roms after nand back up then restored,still had 8mp pics.

This has been talked about in a few places. I am getting 3264x1952 pixel shots even though the camera interface says 3MP. Haven't tried the smaller settings yet. Nevermind.

DO NOT SELECT A LOWER RESOLUTION OR YOU WILL THEN BE STUCK AT THE 3MP CAP!

I had a LOT of forced closes when I installed netarchy's kernel. Is that normal? A reset solved all of them but it was weird, after installing that kernel.
