I've been working on it, but not having much luck. tonight's leak is not a full ROM. It merely patches the stock 1.47.651.1 ROM, so it's trickier.....I was hoping to have a rooted stock ROM tonight but it's not looking good....and since we have not seen the xda pro's release a rooted stock rom, it's gonna be alittle harder.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not knockin Avalaunchs Froyo ROM, props to him, I just think it's abit misleading that it's based on the official ROM

agreed. it is a bit misleading. i say by the end of the weekend we have a rooted rom, we will be all good!

Every thing is working on this ......Only problem i have is it want wifi tether ....any fix for this.....Thanks i am useing pda net rite now ....need my wifi...

OK, so if this new rom retains root, why can't we WiFi Tether?

Also I say wait one week or ten days MAX until a custom ROM is based off of the "official" 2.2.

Hi, umm may I make a suggestion? Check the post dates on these threads. This one in particular is from July. Just before an official release of 2.2. What you posted as being already on your phone is the latest, I would say September-ish official over the air update of 2.2..
