New Evos From Sprint Have OTA

I just got a new EVO from Sprint and it had the OTA installed out of the box. Hardware 003
Build number
1.47.651.1 CL195459 release-keys

Starting rooting now will let you know but I'm confident it will be no problem

There shouldn't be a problem.I did all the OTAs and then decided to root.rooted using simple root program.

OTA 1.47.651.1 is not an issue. I was rooted but un-rooted and did the OTA several times to test the rooting methods.

i just got my evo too around 2 weeks ago and had that same ota. fastrx8, i hope to complete the root in your full guide post (THANKS!) and be successful.

I have not read up on the latest rooting process for stock 1.47.651.1 ROMs....does rooting 1.47.651.1 cause PRI to revert back to old?

Yeah it goes back to 1.31 i believe it was. There was a thread about it somewhere
