I had the same problem today. I switched airplane mode on and off to get it working again.

Re: Evo having issues surfing on the browser

Downloading a different browser is not a fix...generally when the internet stop working there is a reason...another program could be using the web...or something in Android OS could have gotten fouled up. Try resetting the phone...do what the guy said above...

If it keeps happening it could be a app you installed...or the phone has a defect...

That's your opinion and you may stand by what you believe...but if at browser isn't working then it may be something causing it. To just download a new browser most likely won't fix the problem. I would have to say the stock Android browser is way better than most I've seen. It may not be like a PC browser...but atleast it does the job. I am currently on Windows Mobile 6.5 with Opera...try using that...that is a horrible browser...

Clearing the cache, cookies etc may fix it...and like I said some other apps use the same ports and settings as the browser would...so it could be that they were conflicting. Resetting the phone generally fixes these minor hickups...and sometimes they don't.
