Staying awake. How do I find whats not sleeping?

Is there a way to find out what exactly is keeping the phone from going to sleep? I had this problem for the last two days and with running systems I am patching it basicly lol. Anyway is there an app or a proccess to find out whats causing my phone to not sleep?

Thanks, Thomas

Edit: I do have all the sync's turned off excpt gmail and the battery saver tips are pretty much all enabled. So its not a case of I have my phone setup wrong, its a case of I have an app setup wrong. Narrowing it down would be great. Spare parts wasnt really helpfull either. Most that stuff is on the phone and I can find it with the settings.

just gotta uninstall one app at a time and soft reset. i know fring causes it not to sleep if you've never signed into it.

Lol I was afraid of this.. I just recently swaped to a new rom and am testing launcher pro coming from HTC sense so I have made a lot of changes. Basicly I got a lot of work to do I guess to figure this out.

Update. I changed the geolocation setting in Beuatiful widgets and now even after restarting the phone it no longer seems to be having any trouble going to sleep I am wondering if geolocation was always running none stop or something. I didnt understand the setting I kinda figured it worked with GPS but would only update according to the time frame I set it for. Maybe its a glitch maybe i just dont understand it enough or maybe this wasnt the problem and I did something else without noticing it. I will run the phone like this for a bit keep and eye on it then turn on geolocations and turn the phone off and monitor it again to see if it keeps from sleeping. If it doesnt go back to sleep after the test I think I found a culprit. If this is the case I bet alot of people using using beautiful widgets will be thankfull lol.

Will update shortly.

I use Beautiful Widgets (smaller home) on my main home screen and have GeoLocations checked and I don't have this issue.

Re: Staying awake. How do I find whats not sleeping?

Also just wanted to note my running services with you guys so you can see a little whats going on. Just a note I am running launcher pro Sense is pretty much removed.

These are the services that are currently on.

Pure gride calendar widget
-update services

Why is this on I have a widget on my screen but it has nothing to update I use it just to look at dates. If I turn it off no ill effects to the widget. So what is it updateing and why is it starting when I turn the phone on?

Swype
-swype

I use swype and not the regular keyboard this needs to stay on I understand this.

Titanium Backup
-scheduler service

Is this on because I have it schedualed to back up apps and data every sunday? If thats the case I will just manually back things up once a weeks, will that solve that coming on?

Com.smithmicor.DM
-DMservice app

No idea what this is?

HTC DM
-HTC Dm Service

No idea what this is?

HTC IQAgent
-AgentService

No idea what this is?

Voicemail
-CM Service

I dont understand why this comes on with start up? I mean I dont see one on there for text or for phone. I know the gtalk is for gmail but thats actually syncing something. So if this isnt syncing why is it on?

Calendar
-Connectivity Service

Not using HTC calendar dont even know why this comes on at start up.

Calendar
-Obex Service

Agian not using HTC sense calendar I am using the pure gride widget from the market. Are these two somehow working with the widget from the market?

Google
-G Talk Service

I dont have Gtalk set to sign me in at start up and I am signed out. It is my belief that this service is linked with Gmail as well as Gtalk. Also before all this issue with battery life came up I was getting great battery life and this was one of the services always running so I am not at all worried about this service.

Avail: 129mp+0.00B in 30 other:0.00B in 4

Thanks, Thomas

Well then its something else. Thank you a lot for confirming, this at least helps me narrow it down a little more.

Titanium I have seen that running before so I know even if it is using battery power its not using enough to do what I was experiencing. I running like a camery and then suddenly I was running like a hummer lol.

Google, Swype and Titanium where all running before.

The only reason I removed it was because on the ROM I am using SuperUser wouldn't get along well with it. Such is life.
