Auto Word Correction got attitude

I started to enter the word "division" and when I got to divi, I was surprised. It is repeatable but I only have one EVO so I do not know if this happens on other phones.

I am a software designer and it was not uncommon to enter "Easter Eggs" in our apps but this is a little over the top.

Would someone else check?

I don't think the f word was in the dictionary by default.. pretty sure i had to add that in there...so.. I don't think this is any form of trickery by htc

LMAO, it definitely had to be added because at first every time I wanted to drop the f-bomb in text it always came out as duck and my friends kept laughing at me. So once I put it in it didn't put duck any more.

I am sure I didn't add it to the dictionary but my son likes to play with my phone. But why would it relate it to 'divi'?

And does anyone know how to edit the dictionary?

if you look, each of the letters in the f-bomb are one character away from each of the letters in divi.. d-f, i-u, v-c, i-k.... Anyway go to Settings > Language and Keyboard > Touch Input > User Dictionary to delete it (or add or edit any while you're at it).

On a side note, I think when I get mad I'm going to tell people to go divi themselves.

hahahahaa +1 im gonna have to do that too.... kind of like adding .com to the end of cuss words when using the voice to text feature... only way i can get it to work

Just as when I use ShoutOut for texting. I say something like "Honey, I will be home at five" and it translates to "Honey and still Alive" I still send it thinking McEvo knows more than me!

Hahaha funny thread. I was curious so I typed out divi to see if i had that in my dictionary but i misspelled sivi and the suggestions were suck, sock, ****. :P I think its mad at me.
