Re: unrEVOked 3.0
I use the Mac version and everything went smooth, the first reboot had taken sometime to complete but otherwise all went well. I had a full stock unit, remove unrevoked v1 and performed the 1.47 update. than used unrevoked v3.1

Anyway, i installed the hboot drivers and downloaded unrEVOked 3.3 but as soon as you unpack it the title screen says to remove HTC sync. Is removing it key to rooting the evo with unrEVOked? If so how do I remove HTC sync? oh i forgot i am on: Hboot: 2.10 radio: 2.15.00.11.19 software: 3.70.651.1 hardware: ver 0003 |
Re: unrEVOked 3.0
HTC sync is installed on your computer. Go into control panel and select uninstall programs, then find HTC sync and uninstall it. Make sure you install the hboot drivers from unrevoked's site. When you connect your phone to the computer make sure you have debugging enabled and you connect it as charge only. You must have been really reading to dig up a 6 month old post.

Re: unrEVOked 3.0
Thanks for the speedy response. LOL yeah i have been researching/reading rooting/flashing almost non stop today. :computer:
I guess I thought it ment to uninstall sync from the phone, not my comp. I don't have htc sync installed in my comp, so I guess I'm good. usb debugging is on. If I run into any problems I'll ask more questions. Thanks again:mrgreen: |
