trying to understand a few things...

ok.. i've had a few drinks. so please excuse me if i don't make toooo much sense..

i did unrevoke a while ago, then the unrevo2, then the "update" they put out (the patched OTA 1.47.651)... now i'm feeling a bit more comfortable with my phone, i'd like to take things further... i want to flash a different rom, and go from there...

1.can i still just follow the rooting process i've been reading about and root it? this one
2. (i'm coming from winmo) will i have to re-do all my settings? and reinstall all my apps?
3. i did the patched update from the unrevoked site.. (1.47???) but my radio is 1.39.00.05.31, what do i need to do to update that?

thank you all,
-u

Re: trying to understand a few things...

Since you already have quasi-root access, you probably can get away with just flashing a new recovery, to allow you to flash roms. But, instead of doing all of that work in FastRX8's post (which will work for you), why not just use the 3 click root method, by Jiqqaman? You will have full root, with your nand unlocked.
