sd card no mount and no usb connection
 

alright well I did something majorly wrong I guess I was trying to flash the new radio and it wouldnt flash after 3 attempts so I thought I would give it 1 more go and what happens? It doesnt flash and now No usb connestion and no SD card anymore! Reset didnt help what in the world do I do now?

I am having the same issue. The only way I can get my card to mount is via "Clockwork Recovery" In those settings, via "mount sd card" Then you can xfer over zip files to flash. I hope that helps. Then you can flash the new radio or wimax. Hope that helps a little, spent all day yesterday trying to figure it out.

But you have to boot into custom recovery in order to flash i thought...which requires the USB connection that I dont have. I tried mounting it and plugged it in and it did nothing in clockwork.

Here is what I did. Booted phone into recovery mode "clockwork" Then went into settings, advanced/mount sd card, Clicked that,, and my computer finally found sd card. Then copied over the needed .zip/files. Now if you cannot get to Recovery mode. Get Rom Manager from Market, run program, and on the top, Flash Recovery, and it will flash your recovery for you.

well there is no settings option there is partitions and mount SD card is in there but when I go to mount I get an error and it wont mount. I remember one other person having this problem a long time ago and cant remember what he did.

hummmm,,, yeah I remember that thread too, I think his card was messed up. I hope it is not that. Now when I was having the same problems, My thought was to take the card out. connect it to laptop manually, copy of the ROM.zip file, Put the card back in,,, then run recovery, and install zip that way. Maybe fresh rom = No more problems? If it matters at all there have been alot of people around having close to the same problem as us. I was just going to wait it out till froyo. Next question have you checked your device manager settings on cpu to see if there are any yellows there, for your phone connection?

Nothing because the phone and the PC dont even know they are connested. Phone wont even charge.

In a small point, Yesterday I was in the same boat you were, and I spent hours and hours trying to figure it out. Here is what I did to kinda fix it.
1) Connect phone to PC. Look on CPU device manager. Unistalled/Unmounted and deleted drivers, so it would be a fresh connect, when I plugged phone back in.
2) Uninstalled Htc Sync and drivers Package.
3) Restarted Cpu, Ran registry cleaner,(just to clean everything up)
4) Restarted Cpu again, Downloaded new Htc sync and drivers package
5) Installed Sync, Just for new drivers
6) restarted cpu again, then pluged in phone, Watched everything install the right way.
7) IMPORTANT! at this time, I still had no sd card, I still couldnt sync, and it still seemed all messed up BUT!!!!!!
8) Booted phone in recovery, mounted sd, while phone was plugged in,, and sd card came up, so I can at least copy and paste files.

Let me ask you this? When you plug phone into the wall does it charge?
