Google Navigation - data conection failed error - anyone get this?
 

i have no idea why i get this error sometimes with google navigation. has anyone else gotten it? really screws you if you are using the GPS and it goes out.

i'm in a full 3g coverage area with a full signal and sometimes get this error. it just started happening, any idea why or how to fix it?

are you on data roaming? this could maybe be the problem.i read somewhere so things dont work while roaming on another carriers network.

Did you recently update the app? I held off after reading comments that the recent app update caused similar problems.

yep, i did update the app and this is the first i had tried to use it actually. perhaps that is the problem.

i'm not data roaming.

was so pissed off today while using it....

man...all i can get when opening this thing is DATA CONNECTION LOST. continuously. can anyone post the version before the update? there is no way to roll back in the market to the older version, you can either unistall or only install the new version with the update.

you weren't... getting a call during this time were you? Maybe someone was trying to call dropping your internetz.

I was getting the data connection lost message with Google maps the other day. Haven't messed with google maps since then. It was rather frustrating, as I use it a lot when I'm trying to find things.

I had the same problem today also...really started to piss me...I switched to sprint nav for the time being.

I also got it on and off today. I tried Latitude on my home PC while it was happening and that was out as well. It seemed to be a Google-only issue.
