If what they say is true, then their coding is to blame. it may use an extended log to determine the battery levels, so if you keep it at full for an extended continuous time, then the log would purge all the lower level readings from first boot, ect..

otherwise, a full charge from dead when off, then powering on while leaving plugged in until the o/s say's its full too. I think that should accomplish the same thing.

I can confirm first hand... My stock 1500mah battery always lasts longer than my 1750mah seidio battery...

Re: New battery trick said to "double battery life" from HTC themselves..

Um, I think Im just gonna leave my battery life alone lol....I use my phone every chance I get during the day for email, web, games an such....some days I'll be able to unplug it at 7 a.m. and go until about 8:30 or 9 a.m. (with very little use, just to check time and maybe one phone call) and still have about 90% battery.....other days, I unplug at 7 a.m. and subject the phone to the same type of use and go until about 10 a.m. or so.....its just soooo dang random at times, but Its something I deal with...After all, this is a very high end device with many power hungry features and short of draggin around a Optima Red Top battery with me everywhere i go, Im fairly pleased with the battery life lol

It shouldn't be that bad. you either have lots of background things running, or you're on the phone non-stop.
