Re: New battery trick said to "double battery life" from HTC themselves..

I did this a few times using my old TP2 as the charger instead of having my Evo off and I can tell you that it definitely doesn't double anything but the amount of work it takes for you to charge a battery.

Honestly I think the moral of the story after three weeks is using a stock battery, don't expect much more than 10 hours with your normal usage pattern. These cats getting 24+ hours on a single charge are clearly not using their phone like a ppcgeek.

True, that's why I'm trying this method to get a couple days out of my evo

+1...I always wonder when ANYONE that wants (or has one, so the say) a smartphone, of ANY kind, and doesn't charge whenever they can...heck I plug in everywhere, car, work, home at the PC, going to bed, etc...I ALWAYS have a charge on my phone!...I haven't ever needed a spare battery...cause I CHARGE all the time!

Question: Has anyone ever tried the Sedio 1750 batt? Any difference, or not?

I have the Seido 1750 batt, phone has been on the charger about twenty mins. in last 23 hrs, in that time I used 4G in Chicago for about an hour, used Google maps for about an hour getting to airport, watched a movie on the plane, and text & called throughout the day for work & personal use. Still at 20% on the batt. when I put it on the charger an hour ago. I have changed the update freq. on most of my apps that pull data to 4/6 hrs except Gmail app. I have only been using the 1750mAh for four days but I charged for nine hours before installing and activating (ins. replacement) , I can def. tell a difference from the stock battery.

Btw, a week after the release date I had a gallon of water crack open and leak onto my EVO (heartbreak...fear...great remorse), called Asurion to get a replacement phone, showed up brand new w/ instructions not to send my battery or SD card back so got an extra batt. and 8GB card out of the deal, was relieved that they sent me a brand new unit, not refurb.
