Re: Warning about Sprint Update!!!

I did the update a few hours ago and it fixed all issues I was having. Phone is significantly faster and I can still use the phone with it laying down (grounding issue). The only thing I did notice is I can no longer use the wireless tethering app for free. It tells me my phone is no longer rooted....WTF????

Some phones are displaying the update message again even though the phone has been updated.

(When the phone auto checks for updates.)

Re: Warning about Sprint Update!!!

Updated since this morning and phone is working like a champ. The screen is more responsive and I must say that I am impressed with the newly awakened wi-fi.

I wonder if any of you guys updating have any special task killers, etc. installed trying to play with the OS while you kicked off the install.

I agree with freza on the update again comment. lol. But it is true, this option should have been disabled but it is funny that they would even try it again...

Re: Warning about Sprint Update!!!

Be patient, mine rebooted 4 times and just sat on the update screen with no indicator twice after the 1st couple of times then rebooted itself and worked without me touching it.

Took at least 10 minutes.

Re: Warning about Sprint Update!!!

i know someone that did this. even though it's dumb to update twice... we shouldn't even have that option. there is some kind of bug going on. mine doesn't find a second update when i search after the first one...

What did you tell him? lol

This is some bad programing. But at least we are getting updates quickly. So I guess we can't complain too much.

Re: Warning about Sprint Update!!!

If you're going to start a thread called "Warning about Sprint Update!!!" I think the first thing people should see is that this OTA will Unroot your phone and there is a good possibility that you won't be able to root again.

Which means, if you like custom roms or you like Wifi tethering, don't do this update.

Use the rooted version -->HERE<-- or just wait a day or so and there will be tons of info and better options from the devs.
