Got my EVO Friday!!! and I'm loving it

I just got done with the install of my phantomskin and everything went well but I think I got finger prints on the sticky side of the screen cover part

Have it sitting in some tupperware with rice going to wait till morning and see if the screen doesn't have those smudges on it.. if not I've gotta waste my other one and install it again

and no the phone isn't resting in the rice

Has anybody experienced this with the phantom and the smudges disappeared? please say yes lol

usually smudges wont come out unless you can catch them in time and lift the screen protector and spray some solution or sprinkle some water under there... ive noticed that helps but if you leave it for too long usually will have the fingerprints there forever since it is the oils from your skin.

Yeah I figured I washed my hands and kept my fingers wet too I just got a little OCD on some alignment and kinda gripped the skin in my fingers and there's where it probably happened Ahh so what win some you lose some... Lick the wounds and learn from the mistake :P

This is going to belong in evo4g accessories here in a second....

but...

I don't like the full body skin from just holding it so far you can feel the edge kind of bothers me... Thinking the Seido case over this would be a win win

Dont feel too bad Ive wasted many screen protectors doing just that. I have the worst OCD when it comes to my phone.

Thats why I always make sure I've got 2 when I'm going to put "one" on. Usually the 1st is just a practice run.

i like using alcohol(rubbing) to put them on, dries on its own with no issues plus you can still move it while its drying.

but rubbing alcohol is bad for the touchscreens on electronics.....

Our touch screen is glass not plastic it shouldn't hurt it unless there is a plastic film on the screen over the glass in which case the screen protector is kind of redundant.

A little soap (dawn) in some water is the best to use when putting on a screen protector. That is what window tinters, and car detail (graphics) people use. Put the solution in a small spray bottle and spray the sticky side of protector liberally. This will make it slippery so you can move it around easily. It also keeps finger prints, dirt, and dust from sticking to it.

Use a piece of clear tape to lift off the smudges. It works, try it.
