Pretty Annoying

Does anyone know how to get rid of the message preview?....U know when u get a text message you screen (when its in slide down to unlock or full lock mode) its shows you a small part of ur text message...its shows you whose textin you and again a small part of the text...is there any way to disable that?...I have a feeling that small feat, will get me in trouble...lol

If you open up messages, then go into its settings, if you uncheck Received notifcations box you wont get that preview.

Caveat: you lose all notification sounds and vibrate when you do that. So its kinda a failed option imo

I use flashlight alerts for my notification when I turn that option off.

Thanks...sucks that I wont know if I got a text unless a look at my phone..where and how to I get the flash light alerts going?

I downloaded Handcent and it indeed does fix this issue. I came across a few issues that you might run into as well... Add the Handcent widget not the app shortcut or the icon wont show you have a new txt message. I hate the pop up i shows when you get a txt so i disabled that and the notifications all together on accident... so dont do that haha. also disable the stock SMS notifications or you will get two notifications with every txt.
