Wifi tether randomly stopped working

I had a problem in the beginning but it was because I had too many options checked. For example, I unchecked Enable Wi-Fi encryption and encryption set up method. I have had more problems with my actual Sprint OverDrive than with the tether.

I do have a question, how can I secure my tether, though?

if you are refering to not letting anyone else on then


menu>access control> enable

that will show you whos trying to connect and you can green check to "allow"

Ya the access control is really nice. It lets you determine what machine has access to your tether. When you turn it on if you don't specifically allow the machine from the phone then the computer see's the network can join but gets no access to the internet until you click on the allow in the phone.
