Tired of seeing all the threads and complaints about the battery life.
I don't have any issues. I have a charger at home, one in the car and one at work. I don't really care how much my battery can drain overnight, when I'm sleeping, and the phone is not being used. (Lame test)

So, I decided to share my secret w/ everyone else. Before making this video, I tested this method several times. Using a rooted EVO and an Unrooted EVO.
Both of them had very similar results.

I went 2 full days on a single charge. I could have easily gone another day.

I didn't have time to write out all the directions but the video has them all.
Maybe I'll write them out later.

LMAO... More people should have the same view on this subject. It's the biggest, baddest phone out right now, and many expect a miracle from the battery. We demand more and more from our phones these days, and until the battery technology can catch up, we have to learn to manage our devices and quit crying about it!!

i'm at 25 hours with 70% battery left. all i did to fix it was a hard reset.

The best thing about your video is that you were able to leave your phone off for two days. I'm guessing the wife or girl was miffed at the time you were spending on the new phone making your great rooting videos that she laid out the ultimatum on you.

Ya right! My wife spends more time on her phone than I do on mine.
As far as taking 2 days to film...
Let's just say camera tricks and slowly opening/closing mini blinds while turning lights on/off works wonders.

People do overreact to battery life but with a few real tips my evo lasts a day with moderate use thanks to the fact that it doesn't drain like no tomorrow when it's idling. Not everyone sits at a desk all day next to a charger...

I did go with the 1500mAh from seidio but even on the OEM battery it was fine, considering all this bad mama jama does. :headbang:

EDIT: Thanks to biscodude for pointing out I'm a bonehead, the seidio battery is 1750mAh. LOL. :drunken:

Lmao!!!! yo I swear I jus did this to my co worker on monday, he had jus got it an was complaining about the battery all nite and that he might return it. I rooted it for him an he asked if i can do anything to make the battery last longer, I kidd u not i took his battery out put it on the desk an jus looked at him lol....imma get him again and show him ur video lol

That was funny. But seriously, the problem lies when your not some place where you can charge the phone and you actually need to make a call. I use my phone all the time and most of the time I'm in my truck so I can charge it, and I have to say, it charges pretty fast but once in a while I am out for the whole day and am unable to charge it. I guess that would be a problem with any phone, unless you have a crackberry which I have entirely no interest in.

I did notice you are using ATK, any luck with that for you?

I have it set to "Kill Level Crazy" every hour, and security level Medium.
It's probably not an acceptable setting for most people. You just need to make sure to ignore the apps you don't want to kill.

I don't know how much it's really helping. I also have SetupCPU installed and made sure all the widgets are set to manual update and I logged out of gtalk.
I work at a desk. I can charge the phone pretty much anytime I need too.

The real test for me will be this weekend. I'll be in Vegas. Let's see how this thing holds up when I'm in/out of casinos all day.

That was hilarious and I'm surprised, knowing how many tight azzes are on this site, that there aren't more people on here flaming you for having a sense of humor. So I'll do it.

Way to go, that really helped me. It might be easy for you to joke about this subject but its not funny to me. This device is crap because I should at least be getting a bazillion hours out of it on one charge while I sync 17 email accounts, facebook and twitter every 15minutes, keep wifi and gps and 4g(i live in a 3g area) on and have live wallpapers that i swap every hour on the hour. With that i only get 4 hours! IMAGINE IF I WAS A HEAVY USER!?!?
