Visual Voicemail

I see everyone talking bout VVM, I have looked on here and did not find what I wanted. Is there something I need to do, to be able to receive VVM? I had to do the whole new VM setup when I got the phone, people leave me voice mails, but I do not get them in a text. If I hit the voicemail icon it plays them. Any Help?

Re: Visual Voicemail

Visiual Voicemail is just that... voicemail. You can pick and choose which messages you want to listen to, or just delete them. You dont have to call your number anymore to get your messages and you arent supposed to receive a text. If you want to receive texts get Google Voice, it's works really good.

Re: Visual Voicemail

To see your VVM, you need to click on the voicemail app on your phone... they do not come through as text.

Re: Visual Voicemail

Like everyone says... It just does voice... It doesn't transcribe to text. Google Voice will do this for free. YouMail does it but charges. Not sure about Fusion

Re: Visual Voicemail

I have been using google voice for a long time now and the android app is just about there... the voicemail part of it is the best our there and it is free...(if you can get an invite)

It transcribes the voicemail (no not perfect but enough that for a quick glance you get an idea if you need to stop what you are doing or if it can wait....)

It texts you and you can listen or delete right from the app or a web browser....

I strongly recommend it....

Re: Visual Voicemail

visual voice mail is great. But I don't feel comfortable having my voice mails unlocked. I hate that anybody can see the voice mails and just play them. And I haven't found an app or way to lock it. If someone has one pls let me know. Or at least disable the visual voice mail

i did not know this until a friend told me, but you have to set up your voicemail greeting again. when you go through these steps, you set up a password and also the option to have to enter the password when checking voicemails. i chose to not use the password because i dont have anything to hide
