I experienced the same today while using my spare TP2 Battery... Then I swaped to the OEM Red and my battery life went to hell... Lost almost 50% in a little over an hour...

This is starting to drive me crazy... May go to BB and have them do a swap out...

Re: HTC EVO Battery Drain Signal Fix

What really sucks is having this nice phone and have to turn off everything just to save the battery, its high tech but you have to revert it back to a basic flip phone.

Re: HTC EVO Battery Drain Signal Fix

I haven't tried checking to see if mine is GSM or CDMA only, but I did one other thing. In the past every time I got a new WM device I would always change the network to "Sprint only". I haven't really seen this suggested before. I am new to Android so I don't know if this would help. Here is how you change it:

Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile network>Roaming>Sprint only.

Factory settings are always set to Automatic which means in low coverage it will be jumping from Sprint to Roaming which consumes battery. Note that after this change you will not be able to roam.
Also right above the Roaming setting there is an "Enable always-on mobile data" setting, and there is a note under there that says it may use more power.
My battery level so far is at 48% after 6hrs 25m and I have been browsing throughout the day.

Re: HTC EVO Battery Drain Signal Fix

Downloaded Network, before I got to CMDA auto it says GSM Service ( in service) Why would this be there when this is set to CMDA?
