Picturemail Small pics? can they get bigger???

No one every posed a solution. I don't mind it compressing because I like to take full pictures, but not have to send large files to other phones. It just compresses it WAY too small. There has to be some kind of setting / hack to change the % or size of compression.

Eventually you'll run into problems with other carriers though. They may not be able to recieve a 4mb file or something.

i have not had a single picture(taken with my EVO, 8mp, set on high) that was larger than 3mb, most being under or around 2mb the phone says its a 2mb limit so easily a slightly compressed picture should be able to be sent. the only picture i can take and send directly is VGA. android really doesnt have any type of selection on the compression? with the tp2 you could select a res.

i was able to send through handcent, and it doesn't compress the picture as much as the default app. I could only send through handcent when off of wifi though.

Has anybody found a solution to this compression? My 2mb compresses down to 17kb.

i think it's because it's uses the sprint network and not a wifi network to send actual mms
