Do your phone work outside just fine? In normal day to day use while your not at work?

My phone only does it when I'm in the basement at work but regardless it still shouldn't do it. It did the same thing on my Hero until I updated it to 2.1 and after I did that, the the timestamps were correct so it really doesn't make any sense unless it is an HTC thing and they will address the situation when they make 2.2 (Froyo) available for the EVO I hope.

No I will state AGAIN, it's not Sprints network, it's whoevers network I am roaming on causing the problem.

I work about 8 feet from a gigantic window and I'm nowhere remotely close to a basement.

It's not delayed, it says the messages are coming from the future...like 5 pm when it's still only noon...and it happens live as I bounce messages back and forth, further proof that there's no delay...or at worse a few seconds of delay.

As soon as I'm not roaming, it's perfect again, and when I was able to edit the registry on the old TP2 there was no problem either...

I'll call Sprint customer service after work and see what they say...

That actually sounds a Airave issue...I know that's a known issue with the Airave...and I have one...and can vouch for it with the timestamp being in the future...There's no way of knowing if your connected to one or not unless you know the company, or a surrounding company has one. I guess if your phone is connected to a different tower than Sprints, then you may also get the issue...

The issue with the TP2 on New Years Day that made it say 2016, was a software issue and was resolved within a few weeks...if this ends up being a issue caused by the network...then expect a update to your phone pretty soon...

You can expect glitches with new phones with the first few batches, thats why I wait for a few months before buying mine....Actually I have to wait to get my $150 credit...but even if I didn't I still would have waited....

I have a feeling Sprint/HTC will release a updated ROM with Patches and stuff to help the Evo out here in the next month or so...or atleast till 2.2 comes out.

The 2016 issue came and went, but there was also the texts from the future issue when roaming.

I don't believe there are any Airave's in our building...and our building is far enough away from our neighbors here on lovely Day Hill Road in Windsor CT that I don't think it'd be due to them either...don't really know though...just know the phone says I'm roaming, and when I go outside it isn't roaming anymore.
