Ok. Now you do not have the phone plugged up to the computer right? And you are positive that you are connecting to the right wifi signal coming from your phone? Try restarting your phone and try connecting again.

so explain this....i rooted my device using the method posted here, xda, android forums, android central, etc. and i installed the wifi-tether app. i atempted to run it but it didnt work, says unable to start wifi tether, so i installed the unrevoked app, and now wifi tether app seems to work. why is this? i now i was rooted cuz in adb i see a # and not a $.

Any help when I try to tether I get the Su blank page then it force closes on me I'm rooted any no of any solutions for this

I used Toast's method to root all the way thru to a nand back up, but didn't load another ROM. I just stuck with what was there. I also tried to start tething with both wifi on and off on the phone with the same results. I got the message immediatly with wifi off. It took longer to get the message with wifi on.

Does that mean I'm not rooted correctly? Would it hurt to use the unrevoked method now after using Toast's already? Any help is appreciated!
