Re: OLED Screen From HTC Website??

The htc shop is run by LetsTalk.com... their site says the same thing.

I figure it's a misprint from them.

Re: OLED Screen From HTC Website??

I hope it's not OLED. I like to use my phone outside in the sunlight.

Re: OLED Screen From HTC Website??

Pretty sure it's not OLED. The saturation doesn't appear high enough and I can see the screen in direct sunlight.

It's probably not at full brightness if the light sensor is on. For some reason, it doesn't ever put it at full.

Either way, it's still better than OLED in sunlight.

Re: OLED Screen From HTC Website??

This particular issue won't die (and I don't help the situation). I did find it odd that the recent HTC site publish had OLED. Noticed it when I did a TP2 comparison chart on another thread.

Personally, I just want the damn thing in my hands. now.

When it is in my hands, I think I will be holding a TFT...but, it is at lease possible that they made a switch before the major production job started. It is not unheard of, but I do think it is a risky move so late in the project (and I don't think it would be a good one).

I was really concerned about battery life and thought that OLED would be better. After reading up a bit, it's not. You guys have explained some of the lighting issues with OLED - and TFT does have some benefits. This thread helped relieve some of my EVO battery worries. 2 days. 2 days.
