Data Problems upon Activation
Anyone having data problems upon activation? I know it says it may take up to an hour, but from going into ##DATA#, it doesn't look like my username and whatnot are in the device. Update profile does not work (come to think of it, I don't think it's ever worked for me on any of the HTC devices thus far). Any ideas?

Update: activated at 1PM. It is now 3:41PM and still no data. Been on hold for tech support for an hour. I must not be the only person.

Just wait it out. Mine was doing the same thing, activated about 1:30, and had no data until just now.

This is how you get data to work sooner than later.
1-hard reset. you do this by going to the home screen, push menu, settings, privacy, factory data reset, then reset phone 2-update profile. this is accomplished by going to the home screen, menu, settings, system updates, then update profile....there ya have it....you will have data!!!! don't wait on the phone for 2 hours with customer service cause I bet not very many of them will get it done this quickly for you. Don't forget the thanks button!!!! |

Mine was the same way for a couple of hours. The I rebooted and it went through the whole handsfree activation and failed, then a few minutes later I saw the 3G bars and has been working since then. Just give it a bit, the system probably has a huge back-log due to all of the activations.

I think its because sprint's system is basically catching hell with all of the activations today.

Yeah, I'm up and running now. I probably wouldn't have been so impatient if I hadn't gone through the same thing with the 3 Touch Pro's I had a little over a year ago. I always had to go into the store to get data working. Some on the board may remember numerous users having the same issue.

Waiting on 4 hours now.....Maybe I should've waited till next week.
