Awesome! I love that you can customize the pop-up (long-press) delay. Default is 750ms; I put it down to 250ms and that is much better. Sounds like there are a lot of other customizations as well.

I have Swype pre-installed on the Nexus One - so I can do comparisons, and it's not even close. SlideIT is quicker, cleaner, more accurate, handles other languages - and uses a much smaller memory footprint.

Hey man most people don't use the slide/swype type keyboards in landscape, and slideIT looks very similar to swype, except that in portrait mode the keys are slimmer than swype keys. Also, a big reason people prefer swype is because they are moving from WinMo to droid, like me, and the use of the familiar text input is one thing that definately helps the transition. Thanks for the suggestion though. Can you do me a favor and post a link to slideIT apk? I'll have some people test it out and see which one they like more.

Swype from the Swype key to the Sym key and you will get the editing one with arrows and other useful functions.

Re: Keyboards

Well, I went down to the local sprint store and they had a EVO on display, so I got to play with it for a little while. I have always been a need a hardware keyboard kinda guy. I just have to say I was very impressed by the onscreen keyboard. I have always hated them till I tried the EVO's. I was very impressed, quick response with the keys and I did not fat finger very much at all. all in all very impressive. now I just have to save the money to buy one out right .

Re: Keyboards

Better Keyboard is my KB of choice. I actually do like the stock KB on the Evo, but I just find BetterKeyboard to keep up with me better.
