Movies wont show up

Ok just got my EVO I have handbraked about 8 movies to MP4 format but when i open the video I can hear the movie but I cant see it. Any clue what I did wrong or why this is like it is. I wanna rub the gorgeous screen and smooth movie playback in my wifes face, but its a no a working.

i have used Encoder from the XDA developers which converts videos to touch HD format (which is 800x480, as the evo) and eveyrthing plays nice and smooth. i also tested transformers 1 and 2 (from the tmobile hd2) and it is amazing quality!
make sure you choose the right resolution and bit rate so it can be handled correctly.

I can't find it at the moment but someone listed the exact supported video formats with fps and everything. Do a google search.. It might be on another forum

Well I used handbrake for all my conversions and it works perfectly. My videos are playing with amazing quality.
