How to turn off Sense

For those of you who prefer the Stock Android Launcher then this is how you can disable it once you get your Evo.

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
Scroll through the long list until you find HTC Sense
Tap on HTC Sense and click Clear Data and then click Clear Defaults
Then just tap the home button and it will ask you if you want to complete using either HTC Sense or Launcher. Check the box at the bottom to use this action by default, then tap Launcher.

and viola, Sense is now disabled.

Re: How to turn off Sense

If you read the forum you would have noticed that someone has already figure that out and posted it...and there is also a Youtube video on how to remove Sense UI from the phone....

Hopefully a MOD will find this and close it...

Lighten up. This guy took the time and effort to post something useful. This forum is massive and moves very fast.

I remember an old PDA phone web site. They were such total hard ons about posting that eventually most people burned out and the site and it withered away in cyberspace.

Do you really think cluttering up the Forum with the same stuff makes it useful? Just wondering. Lighten up...I didn't do anything wrong here...I was just stating that this forum has a post on this topic already...so lay off..please.

Pull the broomstick out of your hind quarters, buddy. Respect the fact that all the OP was trying to do, is help us. There's no reason for you to come in here and go all Johnny Law on him, or anyone else. Even with you're attempted justification, it's still completely uncalled for.

Thanks OP, hadn't caught this.
