Just got a call from best buy setting up an appointment on the june 4th for the evo set up..anyone else? sorry if its been post..gettin closer!!!!!!

Best Buy will probably get it on the 3rd too. The TP1 was supposed to come out on a Friday, IIRC, but I called and they just got it off the truck Thursday morning.

I'm assuming there aren't a ton of pre-orders in my town or something because I did mine pretty early and they haven't called me yet. Maybe there's no need for appointments at my BB.

They called me Sunday for a 3:00pm Appointment on the 4th.

If any of you buying your phones outright, dont get them from BB or RS. The actual Sprint store is alot cheaper to get the device.... BB $599.99, RS $499.99, Sprint store, $449.00

It is actually true. BB will sell you the phone no-contract for $599 by default but you are also right, BB will price match for $449.

I went into best buy last Monday to pre-pay, and they took my appointment right there. 10:30 AM on the 4th. Was one of the 3 last slots available.

My BB told me they would call on the 3rd. I wish mine would call earlier the anticipation is driving me crazy.

Just called my BB and they said I'm #6 on the list. They said the truck comes Wednesday night but they said they aren't activating until June 4. I'm still gonna call on the 3rd anyway. :p

Mine said the same thing. they would call on the 3rd to make the appointment. I wish i knew before then so i can let my job know if im going to be late or not lol

call in bro! haha..thank god they gave me enough time for heads up..i work graveyard shift and usually gets off around 9-10 ish the morning and the appts. were 8:15 or something..haha..i want mine as early as i can..mos def callin the next day so i can spend a whole day with my new baby toy..lol

I went to best buy and pre ordered mine on May 14... I havent got a call... and i wont be off of work until 3:30 should i be worried?

Will they sell mine if im not there early in the morning? or Does my pre order mean they will hold it for me?

nevermind my last post i just called the bb i preordered at and the girl told me that they started taking orders on the 10th and since i ordered when i did i would be in the first shipment and that they would hold it for me she also said that they would call me when it came in.

Call me paranoid but im gonna go to radio shack tomorrow and pre-order there too. I went by on saturday to see if they got one of those wimax routers and they told me they had only taken 4 orders so far... so im sure they will have at least 1 left.

I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't gotten a call yet, every store is different. Some stores won't call until the day before.

I was kinda worried when I hadn't received a call either but I live in a lower population are and figured maybe they just didn't worry bout it cuz not enough pre-orders. But surprise, I got a call yesterday evening. So some BB's are calling, some not at all and some are just figuring out their game plan and waiting to call. So I wouldn't fret it. Mind you that is easier to say than do being as I got my call heh. Sorry! But I would think if there was a concern of you not getting it on the 4th they woulda mentioned something the day you pre-ordered so I am sure you guys are all ok! Good Luck!

I went to BB to see exactly what the deal was with the phone call and she just said she would be making them Thursday... now since I went Monday im not sure if that's today or next week.:cwm10:

My Best Buy mighty not have their $h!t together. I pre-ordered my phone and will be guaranteed one but when I was filling out the paperwork they said that they would be calling me to set up an appointment. So today I called them to see if I could schedule my time and the lady tells me that I'll need to come in on the 4th and schedule the time then come back at the designated time. This seems to be about the dumbest procedure I might have ever heard. I do know that if I go there I'm only going there once and they'll be sorting out my details at that time. The reason they told me that they would be scheduling appointments in the first place was to control the chaos and disorder. I guess they changed their mind and have opted for the chaos and disorder route. I'm hoping that when the manager calls me back he will tell me that I was misinformed on my call-in and in fact they are going to be scheduling appointments and can go ahead and give me my slot at this time, bright and early naturally.

I don't even think my Best Buy took down my # to call me to schedule an appointment.

Did they have to enter a phone number on their computer system when selling me the $50 gift card? They asked for my phone number, but wrote it down on the EVO 4G Pre-order flyer that they handed back to me.

I was one of the first to pre-order at my Best Buy, and they had no idea what they were doing....They gave me the gift card, receipt, and "copy" of the EVO 4G flyer......they had no originals.

Mine isn't doing appointments either. I was in there a week ago and the manager told me they only had about 10 pre-orders so they were not doing any more pre-orders either (luckily I had pre-ordered a few days earlier so at least I am guaranteed a phone on the 4th). I was also told the same thing that they would call and let me know I can come in on the 4th but they were going to have 3 people working there and didn't think appointments were necessary.

I'll be there at 8:30 anyway, just in case.
