my assumption would be... once you plug anything into the headphones jack it would supercede all other output... so cutting off the ear piece would not work unless there is a way to force the output path... however... I recently picked up a personal radio for work that had an internal speaker as an option.... it came with a special cord that acted as an FM antenna without closing the headphone circuit... I will be attempting this cable once I pick up my evo and will update my findings then... if anyone else is curious... the radio was made by jWin but I don't have the model on hand... Re: Headphone-less FM Radio
Well, we know it doesn't supersede all output. Some of the videos that show the FM Radio working show it is able to play the audio through the external speaker while the headphones are plugged in. What remains to be seen is if wired headphones would override Bluetooth headphones.

update.... it is the JXM10 or JXM10SIL I don't know if you can get the "trailing antenna" separately... but more on that if it actually works... |

Re: Headphone-less FM Radio
Yes, you can. I did it the other day with my advocate device. Not sure about bluetooth but the speaker worked fine with the headphone nub plugged into the device.

Re: Headphone-less FM Radio
i was thinking almost the same thing from what ive seen you only need the headphone jack. when you plug in the headphones the jack hangs out alil and im guessing thats how it receives the reception so my thoughts was use one of my no good/ or broken head phones(if i can find 1) and cut off the wire and just use the jack and throw the phone on speaker
