Try clearing your log first so you have less to look at.

Rooted phone, none of the methods work for me. Piping it to grep, the only mention of EPST is:

I/EPST ( 859): MSG_INITIATE_FIELDTRIAL.EPST

and a version string after it. No results for grep -i msl, or grep MSL.

Thats strange, I did this about 5 times and 2 of those 5 times I found my code. Maybe its hit and miss.
