Skype video calling using Fring

Not sure if you guys seen this video or not, but check this out. I got it from phandroid forums.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YHrK...layer_embedded

This is really nice.. So you have other options besides Qik and you can video call your buddies that are on their pc.

lol my bad.. I thought watching that demo was pretty koo.. I dont do video calling whatsoever right now, but it seems Ill be doing a lot of it once I get the Evo.

I could get the Evo now, but I'm torn. I can get it for less than $530, but I would have to drive an hour to pick it up. Or I could wait for it to ship next week like everybody else and save a lil. Im not up for any rebates right now. So.....

Re: Skype video calling using Fring

This is beautiful. I really didnt want to have to depend on Qik for video chat when basically all my friends have Skype.

So he was doing that over a 3G connection? WOW, this is sweet news.....just think of how many more programs are going to be developed for this phone to take advantage of its features?!?!?!?!

Yes, using that off 3g seemed very fast. I also agree, I'm sure a lot of developers are going to be developing programs to use the front facing camera.
