I believe if you have the hdmi cable hooked up it will ONLY display on the TV... no matter what res the movie is..

TVOut plays on the device and the TV, why wouldnt it be the same??

not that i mind at all, its annoying that the device plays it too on TP2.. just curious now that ive seen this

There was a video posted of a demonstration of the EVO's video out... I think it may have been at CTIA that it only showed playback controls on the device...
