Re: FROYO RAM Question...
sumthin bout a overclocked phone does seem safe to me. hate to burn my processor out or sacrifice battery life just to OC' it 1-300mhz and squeeze out maybe a extra 1-2 secs in load times. it seems to be efficient on 1ghz.

Re: FROYO RAM Question...
I also dont think that overclocking an already powerful device that might not be the best on battery life is a good idea. Now i could understand this if 1.5ghz processors were more of the standard today and a good number of the apps would really benefit from the speed boost.
But to each his own. Its your dollar so you should be able to use it as you want IMO. |

Re: FROYO RAM Question...
I read that there's only like ~380MB of free ROM anyway on the device, so even if you could use virtual RAM, you wouldn't want to.

Re: FROYO RAM Question...
Plus, some apps you may want to keep on internal storage anyway. Things that tend to run in the background I like to keep on internal storage, then all my other apps are on the SD card on my N1.
Right now, with Froyo, I have about 69Mb of ROM left and 10Gb free on my 16Gb card.

lol an extra 1-300 mhz of overclock the snap can go to 2ghz stable... it was alrdy over clocked to that on the n1...
