Evo 4G on EPRP on June 4th?

I have been keeping up with the threads here and haven't seen a clear cut answer.

Can you get the Evo on June 4th with EPRP plans?

I'm currently on sero and will be moving to EPRP for this phone but I don't want to pre order if I can't activate the phone when I get it. I understand when I get it I will have to call and change plans. If I can get a confident yes I will pre order today. Thanks! Sorry if there is an answer I have been looking fro days and haven't seen a obvious yes or no.

Employee accounts customer service said no to me. Not till July for EPRP plans.

Is EPRP considered a employee plan? I'm not an employee and I don't know any employees, I just signed up for a sero plan 2 years ago.

Re: Evo 4G on EPRP on June 4th?

Call in and talk to retentions. I had a SERO and wanted to move to EPRP. They pre-switched me to the $69 anytime plan, but they gave me $14 off a month to bring it to $55, with little haggling. I should be good to go when UPS delivers the phone.

Re: Evo 4G on EPRP on June 4th?

I was on SERO 500, switched to EPRP on Saturday. I specifically asked about getting an EVO on June 4th.

The person I spoke to said, "I haven't seen any info saying that you won't be able to get it, but let me check."
After a little bit of time, she said, "I have a memo that says Sprint Employees w/ employee accounts won't be able to get them on the release date, but it does not say anything about EPRP accounts. You shouldn't have a problem getting it on the 4th."

I asked about getting it at BB or RS and she said I had to go through telesales or a corporate owned Sprint store.

Again, this is just one conversation I had w/ one person at eCare when switching my plans.

Ultimately, I don't see why there would be a wait for EPRP customers. We are not employees, just people who were referred by employees.

Thank you! It isn't a 100% yes but the type of answer I'm looking for. I have been looking for this answer for about 2 weeks now. I guess if I get it and they won't activate it I will just have to call up retention and get a plan that will let me.

Just an update -
I just called telesales to add a 5th line to my EPRP Family plan. While I was on the phone w/ him I asked about getting the EVO June 4th. He said no problem.

I told him I heard that Sprint might restrict people w/ accounts like mine from getting it on the release date. I mentioned I heard that happened with the Pre. He said, "There are no restrictions for getting the phone on the 4th. Customers w/ referral accounts like you, and of course retail customers, can get the phone. There is a restriction for Sprint Employees but not referral or retail accounts."

When asked about getting the phone at BB or RS, he said I can't get it there. He recommended calling telesales. They have free standard overnight shipping.

You most certainly can get it at BB, RS, Walmart, etc. EPRP rules state you can't, but you CAN. I and many others have done it. YMMV as it is up to the stores discretion. Some freak out when they see you're on an employee referral plan.
