You must be using some really powerful light bulbs...or looking at some small TVs...

oh and just so you know... screen burn-in exists in PLASMA! ... lol i love how noobs make wikipedia... for those who dont know, wiki is made by average ppl (you and me) who sign in and add their content. which is then either approved or denied... blind leading the blind... what world do we live in...

im so tired of non-techy people thinking they're smart cuz they got a smart phone... and they make a ppcgeeks account so they feel like geeks... no! you are not! those of us who are know it...! if you think you are techy its cuz you arent! if you need wiki to help you understand OLED... NO YOU ARE NOT!
/rant@!

Those screens you see in bestbuy and etc are LED blacklit..but samsung plans to release 40" oled screens in the near future..so far only ones available are like 11"..also nothing wrong with wikipedia..but as all information it shouldn't be copy and paste but trying to understand the info..

As for technology wise, the amoled screens are still TFT but use OLED instead of LCD...the only downside to OLED at the moment is the weaker "blue" that causes color imbalance after use as blue degrades quicker then other colors but in comparison it is much more efficient and better then an LCD.

as for no AMOLED screen please remember that the screens are manufactured in certain sizes..aka AMOLED has 3.7" as an option..to develop 4.3" will take time and must make sense for samsung as the demand goes up.
