Lets see if i can explain it a different way so it's clear.

3g:
Using data on your phone - unlimited data under the right plan
Phone as modem, hotspot, and data card - max 5gb on network, 300mb roaming, no matter what your plan is, you can go over but you get charged

4g:
Everything is unlimited with a 4g plan

I got this directly from the sprint rep.

umm, NO.. ive used 10, 15GB in a month b4.. theres people here that use like 70-80gbs a month... no charges either

upon getting this phone, I don't care about the 3g cap. I'm paying for 4G (10 a month) and it isn't available to me. If they tell me to slow down, I'll tell them to speed up about putting 4G access next to me. I'm doubling my phone bill just to get this phone, so they better as hell treat me right.

wow.. i missed this thread. my rep specifically said to me that with the $29.99 tethering plan there will be NO 5GB cap in 3G!!! it is a benefit of the $29.99 tethering plan. i don't have it in writing, but she made sure to spell it out as a BENEFIT of the $29.99 plan.

also, qik will need to be set to private BEFORE USE or it will automatically upload video to the web.

I doesnt matte what anyone is saying. It's what on your contract. That aside Sprint would never enforce (or at least no one has ever heard of sprint enforcing) any soft cap.
