Re: Apps for the Evo?

Yes I have Sirius in my car and online used to be free and now it's extra. But I prepaid a while back and got online still included and I have always been able to listen online. But I think at 1st win mo didn't work and I had to call them back and they did something to my account to make it work. But we tried it on my friends BB and it didn't work it said you had to pay an extra monthly fee. But I listen online all the time..

Re: Apps for the Evo?

Ive never really used Android for me than a few minutes so i never got deep in it. Is there an app the functions like the Blackberry spell checker when you type sms or emails? I have the xt9 on my TP2 and i dont mean that, I mean like how when you type on firefox and misspell something and it has a line under it.

Re: Apps for the Evo?

Android is going to be all new to me. I need to make a listof what Apps I want.. Doesn't a FB app come on the phone already? And isn't the EVO going to have it's own flash browser so do you really need skyfire? My windows mobile has a task manager in the top corner to close down stuff I like that. Backgrounds sound good too. On my Touch Pro 2 I have a cab file where when I switch to calendar or any tab my background stays the same instead of seeing the black. Can that be done on Android? I hope PNC has an app. I can't wait for this phone!

Re: Apps for the Evo?

Also, has anybody heard any word with skype on any device besides Verizon devices? I dont use it to much on my TP2 but mainly cause it only uses the speaker phone to make calls unless you have the factory earpiece plugged in. Skype would have me using the front facing cam all the time but I love the skype group chats mostly.

Re: Apps for the Evo?

Given that Android is already starting to dominate WinMo in the market, I can guarantee more companies will start developing apps for Android. At its current rate of its expanding user base, I would guess it will be a serious threat to iPhone sometime in the next one to two years as well. More users = more apps.
