Anyone else having issues with the 32gig card from Verizon?

A few people including myself ordered this card, I was lucky enough to get it for $50, with free shipping. This morning, after copying almost 8 gigs of music to the card, I tried to open my music player which told me the card was empty. I took it out and inserted it in the portable reader the thing came with and put it in my USB port on my computer, everything was there.

Reinserted the card and everything worked fine. But, has anyone else experienced any issues with these cards?

Formatted, partitioned, nandroid had a problem so I redid it, but that doesn't matter. I've had no problems. Always format first.

Why is the format necessary? I've never formatted any of my other cards and didn't format this 32GB card either. I've copied about 10 GB of files to it so far with the card reader that came with it, and haven't had any problems.

Formatting is like washing a shirt. When you buy a shirt (microsdhc card) it comes with chemicals, dye, and sweat (corrupt files) from the sweatshop (sweatshop) it was manufactured in, so we wash them before wearing. It just ensures that everything works well and we don't have a reaction (errors) to the chemicals (non formatted card).

When we wear the shirt regularly it may get dirty, covered in hooker sweat (too many files), stripper glitter (oh crap), or horndoctor blood (corrupt files again). While the shirt might be dirty we can wash (format) it. This should remove those stains and smells and it will be clean, meaning no stains (errors).

Haha. I just do it because when I do it works better.

Didn't format mine, popped it i, restored stuff from my 16gb, been working like a charm.

As a matter of fact I was just cleaning house on the phone/card. So I can confirm no issues with mine.

Sure you seated yours snuggly into the slot?

EDIT: Just thought of this, these phones came with an issue accessing the SD and was promptly OTA patched. I am assuming you're patched up..

I'm patched up, I think it wasn't seated properly. As soon as I put it back in, everything has been fine since.

i do very much want to thank everyone for ther help though.

No, didn't format it. I've never formatted any card or hard drive I've ever bought before using it.

The shirt analogy just doesn't work in this situation. A shirt is made oftentimes in a non-clean environment. It is touched by lots o people and in a room wher lots of other things are going on. Oftentimes, washing removes impurities from a shirt. A hard drive or microsd card or whatever type of closed (sealed) electronic device is created (hopefully) in a cleanroom. That being the case, these are clean objects. The only "impurities" would be if someone purposely put some sort of junk on them.

<I'm just sayin'>

Impurities (corrupt files) can be removed by formatting. The shirt analogy was very much supposed to be taken as a joke and not a real analogy. That's why at the end I said, I format mine because it works better if I do. Anyway, since my humor went unrecognized by anyone visiting this thread I will now unsubscribe from it haha.
