Using a spare battery and cover, would allow you remove your mod before dealing with /Sprint for TEP purposes

Actually, I don't believe it would... If you look carefully at the mod, you're opening the phone and soldering wires directly to the board, then soldering them to the coil that's stuck to the battery cover... that's what voids the warranty - opening and soldering to the board.... That's why I'm considering working on a modular version - sticking the coil to the inside of my Seidio case and soldering on a micro-usb connector that I can then just plug into the bottom of my phone... that way I still have the convenience of inductive charging, but it's completely removable from the phone...

I see it messes with compass apps. Does this mean it also affects the accelerometer?

Thanks, I hadn't looked at the mod yet and noticed that today. I guess it uses the EVO's charging mechanism.

Re: Make your evo compatible with TouchStone, for 10 bucks! (Includes TouchStone char

I bought 2, hell they wer $20 shipped with the backs.

I got PIxi backs, they have easier pins to solder to, but I put it on the inductor and could not get a votalge or amerage reading so I quit.

Any idea whats wrong? surely I should be abloe to get a couple of volts. I was initially just trying to determine polarity.

It shouldn't mess with the accelerometer as that basically uses gravity... most compass apps use the magnetometer, which the electromagnetic coil interferes with.
