Keep your old HTC Mini USB accessories

A quick look for micro USB items at Dealextreme, I found this for $2.50 free shipping and thought, man I can just use my old HTC accessories with this!

EDIT: Was thinking even though I am posting these here on the EVO forums, these accessories are very useful for lots of the devices supported on PPCG.

Good find! One thing to be aware of though is that many of the HTC provided accessories and cables are Mini-ExtUSB, and will not fit into a standard mini-USB port.

I bought 2 of these for $2.98 (a piece) w/free shipping:

they didn't work. I tried with a charger and plugged into a computer. The evo recognizes a charging signal for about 2 seconds then quits charging it.

anyone know why??

that has nothing to do with the adapter but it's your charger, check to make sure it is at least 1000mA

I tried my old htc touch pro 2 charger which is the exact same output
it works fine with the usb to mini usb cable, just not with my adapters

I got 2 micro usb cables in yesterday and when I plug them into the computer the LED on the evo will go on for about 2 seconds then go off, but it works with my old and new wall chargers!

You bought these specific ones from DealExtreme? I went with these because they have good reviews.
