Ummm...i'm able to play streamed videos on my EVO. Went to www.andriodvideo.net and play them from there straight to my TV. Also can play DIVX movies also. Playing DIVX is the thing I wanted to do most anyway. I'm sure someone will develop a hack for this problem soon anyhow, i'm not too worried about it.

OK so I am now on my 3rd brand of HDMI cable and NADA.. phone either freezes or REBOOTS on two different TV's. It never put the HDMI icon on the taskbar and doesnt do anything.. when I get it to stay on wihtout rebooting that is..

I guess the HDMI output is a waste...

Is there not an available program that is used to display phone screen during presentations?
How expensive, and where would i get it?

display whatever is showing on the phone.....ie apps, games..? no.

you can only show movies/pictures at this point

hmm well you can capture pictures with the "shootme" app but you have to have a rooted phone I believe.
