Re: For those of you having trouble finding micro hdmi (type d to type a) cable

Yeah gold plated means nothing. Nickel is the best conductor out there anyway.

Nickle is plated on before the gold gets put on. And (hard)gold is also used to provided a longer lasting conductive finish on parts that are constantly inserted and removed.

Also silver is better than nickle however its not used as much because its highly susceptible to corrosion.

Re: For those of you having trouble finding micro hdmi (type d to type a) cable

Does anybody have a guess as to what the TV Dock will use to connect? Will it too use the Micro HDMI or maybe something else?

To settle this. If you read further down the page in the "Product Description" it specifically states "...a new Micro HDMI Connector, ..." why it says "Mini" in the title I don't know, but I've ordered one just now myself. Here is a link to a listing of all the various lengths of this cable being sold on Amazon. I ordered a 6 ft. for less than 10 bucks WITH shipping!

I still think the typo is the "Micro" not the "Mini"
