is the molex cable a HDMI v1.3 or v1.4?

would it even matter with this phone if the better 1.4 was used?

Unless you mean the Advantage club (you have to have a sprint employee set this up for you, 20 a month, no contract) you aren't getting the EVO on SERO. Ever. You can get it on EPRP on June 4th.

Re: For those of you having trouble finding micro hdmi (type d to type a) cable

Where are you guys getting your info from that it has a micro hdmi port? almost article and video has said mini hdmi, micro usb. Thats where I think the confusion is coming from. but then again, I dont have the phone in hand so I cant say if its one or the other. Someone at sprint told me mini. But then again, you know how informed they are. After looking at pictures, It seems it should be indeed a micro hdmi from specs by wikipedia.

Type D
A Micro connector defined in the HDMI 1.4 specification,[49][52] it keeps the standard 19 pins of Types A and C but shrinks the connector size to something resembling a micro-USB connector.[53] The Type D connector is 2.8 mm × 6.4 mm, whereas the Type C connector is 2.42 mm × 10.42 mm;[54] for comparison, a micro-USB connector is 2.94 mm × 7.8 mm.

Have an altex near you? I stopped by and saw that they carry em. $19.99 for a 3meter cable. Doubt it was gold plated.

Just so you guys know, gold plated cables aren't going to perform better than non gold ones.

no sir. especially since the EVO's HDMI connection isn't gold plated.
gold plated=hype
